WASP - The Neon God - Part 2 - The Demise

The second part continues Jesse's story who comprehends that it's dangerous when people hang his pictures on walls. Blackie tells that "No man is above one other and that no man is God". Musically he hasn't made any obvious changes, only I find "The Demise" to be a lot weaker than part 1. It's more straightforward with "only" nine tracks but which are full songs, no break parts this time. Album starts very well with "Never Say Die" but the rest fail to impress me that much. Too often it sounds like a recycled version of part 1, or like a B-side of the whole Neon God theme. There's even a copied part from "I Can't" (can be found from "Still Not Black Enough" album) in "Clockwork Mary". Maybe it would have been better to make only one album, like a collection of best tracks from both parts. But don't be too alarmed though. "The Demise" is still a solid album, and Blackie is even at his worst a lot better songwriter than many other musicians. Make your own opinion and stick with it. Some even find this to be better than part 1.
