Description

Another driver plowed into my car in January 2009. I believe this was the traumatic event that caused my MS to surface. Although it may have been lying dormant long before this time no symptoms had been apparent until weeks after the car accident. Over the next 6 months I began experiencing numbness and pain in various parts of my body, severe fatigue, balance difficulties, depression, unstable mood, sudden hearing loss, optic neuritis and dysarthria. Some of these symptoms have ceased while others remain or come and go. I was diagnosed in July 2009 with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) through a Brain and Spinal MRI where several lesions were present. I'm now taking injections 3 times a week to slow the progression of the disease. MS is truly a daily struggle! I have not been able to find a great deal of information on the net about the disease, so I hope this information is helpful to you.
