When the Stone Roses first burst on to the scene in 1987 little was expected of them.
Their debut album laid the foundations for the future of British music, but it was Ian who made the blueprint for a generation of swaggering, cocksure Britpoppers.
The break up of the band in 1996 should have also marked the end for the frontman but the following public feud with former band mate, John Squire, a spell in Strangeways prison and onstage fights at his own gigs, only seemed to further cement King Monkey's legendary status.
Ten years on since the demise of the 'Roses, and he's still going strong with a string of Top 40 hit singles and four crticially acclaimed albums under his belt.
Featuring an interview with Ian Brown and contributions from the Arctic Monkeys, Noel Gallagher and James Lavelle the documentary takes a look at why he is as relevant as ever.
