From England. Led by The Ward Brothers, Shaun Ward (keyboards/guitar) and Michael Ward (horns). Their single "Weak In The Presence Of Beauty" was later covered by Alison Moyet. The first album featured the vocals of Carroll Thompson while the second album's vocals were handled by Desy Campbell. The group was named after a song by 60's Motown group The Supremes! The Wards would come back again as the Ward Brothers in 1988 and score another alternative hit with "Cross That Bridge". 1984-86.
Don't miss the classic cheeseball single "Too Drunk to Funk!"
